Join us at Battleground Games & Hobbies in Saugus for our first Warhammer Wednesday! This meeting will kick off our first narrative campaign, a 4 week long lead up to 8th edition, The March to War. Start Time: Wednesday, May 24th - 7:00pm Entry fee: $5.00 ------------------------------------ The March to War Cadia a once proud and stalwart symbol of strength and defiance for the Imperium of Man has fallen, sucked into the Eye of Terror and with it a great rift has torn across the galaxy. Abaddon the Despoiler launches his 13th Black Crusade with his eyes set on Terra as Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines rises to combat the onslaught of the forces of chaos. It is his mission to beat back the ruinous powers of chaos, all the while leading a crusade to reconquer planets that have fallen to Xenos Threats. Elsewhere in the galaxy the shifts of the Immaterium are all too noticeable as the very reality of time and space are warped. Across battlefields the universe over, time stands still and then unexpectedly bounds forward. None are sure the exact causes for the events that are transpiring, but it is known now perhaps more than ever that in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, there is only war. ------------------------------------ Campaign Information: This will be a 4 week long mini narrative campaign using the recent events that are happening in the Warhammer 40,000 universe as its backdrop. Each player will represent one of four factions, The Forces of Chaos, The Imperium of Man, Order Xenos ( All Eldar, Tau) Destruction Xenos ( Genestealer Cult, Necrons, Orks, Tyranids). x Campaign Scoring: You will score a point for your team by completing the following objectives. 1. Manning the Front - Each Player will score 1 victory point for just showing up and playing a game each week. 2. Victory in Battle - Each Player that wins their weekly mission will score an additional victory point. In the event of a tie the player with the largest remaining amount of points not destroyed gets the victory point. In the event the outcome is still tied each player rolls a D6, the player with the highest die roll wins. (as many rerolls as necessary to arrive at a winner). 3. Uniform Inspection - Each player is eligible to score one point for any completed miniature painted from the previous week. (it could be a single model or 10 squads of models!). Any progress is progress and will be awarded a point for putting in some hobby effort. 4. Protect the Warlord - An army is as good as its Warlord, you will be awarded each week if your Warlord Survives the battle. Each week they survive you will be awarded an additional point. (1 point week one, 2 points week two.) If your warlord is slain the clock resets to the first week. All player points from each respective faction will be added together. At the conclusion of the campaign the faction with the most campaign points will be victorious. x Army Construction: Each Mission will have a points value associated with it. 1. Battle Forged Armies only Using Warhammer 40,000 7th edition ruleset. 2. An Army may be built using up to three detachments 3. You may repeat one detachment (i.e 2 but not 3 Cads/formations) 4.
