Don't let an abuser be your source of truth 💜 #SurvivorSpeaks #NoMore
"My abusive relationship didn’t match what I thought abuse looked like, so I didn’t see it as such for a very long time. I lived in an environment of belittlement, violence, and negativity, and that defined my self worth. I woke up each day wishing I hadn’t. This is why Camp HOPE is so important in our community and why we facilitate this camping model and program at Alternatives To Violence. To learn more about how you can join others and support or donate to this amazing program in Tehama County, please visit www.atvrb.org
Our research with the University of Oklahoma on Camp HOPE America is now officially published in the Child and Adolescent Social Work Journal! Camp HOPE is an evidence-based program and we can prove that our camping and mentoring program can change the destinies of children exposed to domestic violence! Thank you to The Verizon Foundation and SDG&E and many other foundations and individual donors. Because of your faithful, generous support we will be in 11 states this summer! This is one powerful way to prevent the next generation of rapists, batterers, cop killers, and prison inmates of ALL crimes across this country! By 2020, we hope to see Camp HOPE America operating out of Family Justice Centers and other types of multi-agency Centers in 20 states!

We watched a documentary about this courageous woman's life. Thank you Dr. McSwain for inspiring us to be more, to do more for survivors of family violence. #NoMore #EndDVTehama #Failureisnotanoption

We are here representing Tehama County at the End Violence Against Women International Conference. Already inspired to #bethechange and assist survivors of violence better in our little community. #StartbyBelieving #EndDVTehama #TehamaSART #EVAWI2017
