Like many great, long-running family owned companies, General Distributing's success can be traced back to its foundation. Glenn E. Bliss became president of General Distributing shortly after it opened in Great Falls back in 1948. He knew that by relying on core values like integrity and community involvement, his company would grow and become a Montana staple.
He passed these values on to his son, Glenn F. in the mid 1970s and General Distributing continued its path of growth and commitment to Montana and its communities. Today, a third generation of Bliss family members, Glenn W., Eric, Jason, and Brian, along with their staff, carry on General Distributing's tradition of exceeding customers expectations by providing quality products, first class service and technical expertise.
