Arni's was opened by Arni Cohen in 1965. Since his passing in 2002, his sons Brad and Kurt Cohen operate the restaurants with the exception of five, which are franchises. In total, there are 18 locations throughout Indiana with its first store opening in Lafayette.
The restaurant maintains the founder's philosophy: if you take care of your employees; they will take care of you. This mantra has led to its historical success as a great place to work, visit and socialize.
