Yay!! Time for some Haunted History everyone! See the schedule below and don't forget that it starts at Dawg-Eared Books in McDonough - additional info below as well. On October 12th, I will be leading the History! I know! It will be weird to be the one making up (I mean disclosing the history) and not the ghost stories this time! Jeff and Dan just HATE when I make up the history... I think Jeff is going to give me note cards. :)
Get ready!!! The Halloween season is upon us, and it is time for our October McDonough Haunted History Tours. Here are the upcoming tour dates: Saturday, October 5th Saturday, October 12th Saturday, October 19th Saturday, October 26th Tours start at 6:00 p.m. and are ten dollars per ticket for adults. Children 5 years to 12 years of age are five dollars, and those under five are free. Call us at Dawg-Eared Books at 770-957-1880 if you want to reserve your spot, or just show up on the tour date 15 minutes prior to the tour.

Free Food! Creepy Stories! Great Books! Today's the day fellow book lovers!! Let's all go to our newest used book store and show them that we are glad they took up the honor of keeping Henry County in used books!! Please share and get the word out!!
Don't forget that we have our grand opening this Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. We will have an author (Christina Barber) here signing her book Spirits of Georgia's Southern Crescent. She will be here from 11:00-1:00. We will also be having our second Haunted History Tour of the season. We will leave the bookstore at 6:00 p.m. for the tour. All day, we will have light refreshments. Come join us and shop in our bookstore.

Its Ladies Night Out on the square tonight in downtown McDonough. The merchants of the downtown area will be open late (until 9:00 p.m.) and will be offering coupons, discounts, and refreshments to the wonderful women who shop in our downtown square. Dawg-Eared Books will be participating. We will be having a 15% off sale on all our Halloween decorations and gifts for all the lovely ladies who shop with us today. We will also be offering cookies and orange punch in time for Halloween. If you are in the area, come join us. All are welcome, not just the ladies, but today, the ladies are our favorite customers!! LOL!

Okay Everyone!! It is time to see just what a local historian and author and do with my (and Dan's) tour!! Every Saturday in October, we can all take Dawg-Eared Books tour and see just what Jeff Wells has "dug" up! :) I will say that I have heard rumblings of very strange things (ghostly things) going on in Clay Plaza after hours!
