HCNS was founded 50 years ago to provide a cooperative nursery school for the towns of the Upper Valley. We are a parent cooperative thriving on the regular, active participation of parents in the classrooms. We keep our groups small to facilitate individual attention and the development of a positive group sense.
We offer morning programs for children to 5 years old, a Lunch Bunch Program, and a multi-age afternoon program for preschoolers and kindergartners. We are fully certified in the state of New Hampshire, and are one of the few preschools in the Upper Valley accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs – maintained since 1987.
