The School at Altenburg's Farm with Ashleigh N Josh Calaway.
Ashleigh Calaway is the District 8 Coordinator for Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation. She serves as the board’s secretary and is also the chairwoman of the Community Outreach/Public Relations Committee. Ashleigh and her husband Josh are the proud parents of their two-year-old daughter, AJ. With her in-laws, she and Josh run a grass-fed beef farm. Raised in a farming community, she has firsthand experience of the impact that working the land can have on someone. Ashleigh was inspired to get involved to create a lasting impact on her community and the agriculture industry. Ashleigh knows the key to everyone’s future lies in the next generation. In an era where less than 2% of the population is responsible for feeding the world, Ashleigh feels that it is critical to get our youth involved as soon as possible. Ashleigh believes The School at Altenburg’s Farm will offer endless possibilities to the youth who are permitted to connect with something much larger than themselves and, simultaneously, give our community a chance to do the same.
