Vera Garner, 89, has an undeniable love for singing. In her younger years, you could find her performing on the stage of the Royal Theater -- the same theater that hosted performers such as Louis Armstrong and Ethel Waters. As a young girl, she sang in her church's choir and later the Handel Choir of Baltimore with her husband Mervin. While it's been three years since she's last taken the stage, Vera remains optimistic. She never turns down an opportunity to sing and dance down the halls of Brookdale Pikeville. Wish of a Lifetime helped us reunite Vera with her old church choir.

Vera was reunited with her old church choir thanks to @WishofaLifetime and Brookdale. What a special moment!

His project ‘ResilientLight’ is focusing on the beauty that comes with destruction. Through his artwork he's showing the world the resiliency of the Florida people and their communities, how they came together during and after Irma as one to support one another and overcome such loss.
