COMMUNITY:

Silvermead is a fifty-five and over, pet friendly, age restricted community….with emphasis on the word “community.” Our residents are active and often gather in the clubhouse to socialize, swim in the community pool, play bocce, and get together for other events. Members of the community club have parties to celebrate the various holidays and even hold contests for best Halloween costume and best decorated house during the December holidays. These events and other occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries are highlighted in The Informer, the residents’ community newsletter.



COST-SAVINGS:

Silvermead is a land-lease community where residents own their own homes and pay a monthly lot fee. The good news is that Silvermead is a RENT CONTROLLED community and there has not been a rent increase in the past two years. Included in the lot fee are the following services and cost-savings:
-Property taxes;
-City water and sewer;
-Garbage and recycling pickup;
-Lawn cutting;
-Snow removal, including the driveways and walkways;
-Curbside mail delivery;
-Two off street parking spaces;
-Underground utilities


CONVENIENCE:

Silvermead is located off of Route 9 in Freehold, New Jersey. Our community is less than five miles from Freehold Raceway Mall and even closer to great shopping and restaurants in downtown Freehold. In the warmer months, residents of Silvermead can take a drive to the Jersey shore and walk on the boardwalk, conveniently located only fifteen miles away.
