All parents/guardians are Sigourney PTO members, but we’d like you to become an ACTIVE PTO member. Membership is FREE and meetings are one evening a month for approximately one hour. We’d love to have your help whether it’s coming to the monthly meetings, assisting with activities, or providing comments/suggestions on new ideas or activities. Active membership is what allows Sigourney PTO to sponsor these family friendly activities and provide assistance to the teachers and students of Sigourney Elementary.
Our fundraisers are intended to purchase educational materials and/or experiences for the benefit of students and teachers. Some things that have been purchased and done in the past include:
Lamination Basketball Hoops Soccer Goals Soccer and Basketballs Spelling Bee Awards Art Supplies Sound System for Assemblies Letter Tiles used by teachers in reading small groups Parent/Teacher Conference Meals Gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week Book Fair books for classrooms Popcicles on the Playground for Open House Grandparents NIght Out Pizza for Pops Mexican for Moms Halloween Party Bowling Events Box Top Contests - winners receive pizza party, etc. National Night Out - participated & gave prizes Anti-bully T-shirts Red Ribbon Week Engraving for reading awards Yearbooks
