The Kauai Concert Association (KCA) began in 1974 with a mission to bring world class music to Kauai. The organization started with two or three concerts per year and currently presents an eight concert season with a wide variety of classical, dance, jazz, and world music for the enjoyment and edification of Kauai residents and visitors. Over the years, KCA has hosted such performers as the San Francisco Opera, Oakland Ballet, Hiroshima, Bela Fleck, Ernie Watts, Black Grace, and Chanticleer. Performances are held primarily at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center Theater, Kauai's most modern and acoustically superb venue. However in the past, KCA has presented at the Coco Palms Hotel and the Kauai Convention Center and smaller venues.
