South Coast Welding Academy is an industrial trade school offering various welding technology programs that are designed to provide comprehensive hands on training to prepare students for immediate employment in the industry. In the last couple of years, companies throughout the United States have been feeling the effect of shortage for qualified welders. Currently there is a demand for skilled welders in many industries such as construction, ship-building, petrochemical, fabrication shops, pipeline and many more. Our facility is conveniently located near the ship channel, petrochemical complexes and various fabrication shops. The training facilities consist of a welding lab, prep and grinding area, oxy-fuel cutting station, and classroom. SCWA is equipped with the latest state of the art equipment including but not limited to welding machines, automatic plate beveling machines, automatic pipe beveling machines, industrial saws, oxy-fuel cutting torch, plasma cutter, strap benders, and air compressors
