How many more days until our first whale watch? :)
This is a beautiful shot of a mom-calf pair of Atlantic White-Sided Dolphins, seen from the @barharborwhales #whalewatch this summer. March is #dolphin awareness month! Dolphins are toothed whales, known as odontocetes, and are highly social. Atlantic white-sided dolphins usually travel as pods of 30-150 individuals and sometimes a pod can be made up of over 1,000 individuals! #atlanticwhitesideddolphins #dolphins #momcalfpair #calf #odontocetes #dolphinawarenessmonth #marinemammals #toothedwhales #whales #gulfofmaine #maine #barharbor #pod #marinelife 📷: @alliedwhale

Underwater photographer of the year 2017 winners – in picture ift.tt/2lRPmvk

French photographer Gabriel Barathieu has been named this year’s winner for his ‘balletic, malevolent’ dancing octopus, while British winner Nick Blake captured a lone diver among the otherworldly sunbeams of a Mexican cave
