The Hartford City Library was started in 1903 by an endowment from the Carnegie Foundation. Today, we serve the entire Blackford County community. With the cooperation of the Township Trustees, every resident of Blackford County may now apply for a library card to use our facilities. No longer just a place to check out books, the library has magazines and other periodicals, DVD movies, and audiobooks on CD. We have 8 public computers with internet access and printing capabilities.
