The PURPOSE of Cooperative Community Ministry is to help those whose emergency needs have not been met by the Salvation Army, the Department of Social Services, and/or other community agencies.
TYPES OF HELP OFFERED
A FOOD PANTRY with nutritionally balanced groceries, which are distributed according to household size and/or special needs. According to availability, nonfood items such as toiletries baby/infant care/food items may be given out as
COORDINATION with other agencies to seek additional help, where needs are greater than one agency can meet, or where the client lives in the service area of another agency.
QUARTERLY DISTRIBUTION of government staple foods to qualifying senior or disabled citizens, as available.
MEALS OF GRACE - Free evening meals served (by volunteer teams) during the week (usually Tuesdays and Thursdays but can also include other days) from the CCM kitchen. These meals are open to anyone and go from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Volunteer teams include local church groups, clubs, organizations, scout troops, neighborhood groups, etc.
Cooperative Community Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. We are supported by contributions from churches, civic clubs, businesses, and individuals in the nearby area. CCM does not receive government or United Way funding for its own programs. It is not a public agency, although it does administer some public funds for other agencies.
