Community Music School (CMS) is a non-profit organization which provides the best possible music instruction to all who have a desire to learn, regardless of race, creed, gender, national origin, physically/mental challenge, or financial means. CMS employs over 30 professional musicians who provide high-quality private and group instruction to all ages and in nearly ever instrument and voice, as well as tuition-free outreach programming within area schools and music therapy. Since being founded in 1981, CMS has connected over 25,000 students in the Lehigh Valley with the life-long benefits of musical education by providing over $100,000 annually in financial aid and scholarships. CMS also offers our budding musicians the opportunity to enjoy the rewards of their dedication by performing before family and friends, when they are ready to do so. All of our in-house recitals continue to be free and open to the public.
CMS offers quality music lessons at our main headquarters at Miller Symphony Hall in downtown Allentown, Macungie Institute, Penn State Lehigh Valley, Cedar Crest College, and in Reading at the Goggleworks Center for the Arts.
