Bay Area SMACNA represents over 225 union sheet metal and air conditioning contractors in the seventeen Northern California counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, and Trinity.
In 2008 our Members' firms provided employment opportunities totaling in excess of 6,000,000 man-hours throughout the Bay Area. We represent only signatory employers and are part of a National Association of over 1900 contracting firms and 104 local chapters throughout the United States. Our firms employ union sheet metal workers and are signatory through our association to a labor agreement with Sheet Metal Workers International Association--Local 104 (SMWIA).
