Touchstone Bank opened its doors to customers across southern Virginia and northern North Carolina on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. The legal close for the merger of Bank of McKenney and Citizens Community Bank was Friday, Nov. 10.
The union of two great community banks to create Touchstone Bank will raise the standard for quality community banking. In the past, a touchstone was used to test the purity of gold and silver. Today, anything that tests quality is considered a touchstone.
