A community-based Residential Care Program is the focal point of the Omaha Home for Boys 59-acre main campus. This program helps high school age boys thrive in a safe, family-style environment. In addition, the Omaha Home for Boys offers community-based programs for young women and men who are “aged out” of foster care or about to “age out.”

Jacobs’ Place is a transitional living program for these youth, ages 17 to 21. Developed in 1995, the program is a response to older youth who struggle with a lack of housing, support, education and independent living skills because of multiple foster care placements. The program provides a skill-based structure, safe environment and a caring staff to help young women and men move toward independence.

Branching Out is an independent living program providing services to youth ages 14 to 24. These services range from goal-setting and career and skill exploration for younger youth to employment placement, housing and independent living skills for older youth.

The Omaha Home for Boys always focuses on meeting children’s needs. Founded in 1920, the Home adapts to the needs of the community by collaborating with other providers to ensure the success of our youth and their families.
