Superior Transportation, Inc. was established in May 1998 by Patrick Barber of Mount Pleasant, SC. While working at Bulldog Hiway Express, Pat saw a demand for overdimensional trucking, and he founded Superior Transportation with the purpose of providing transportation services in a specialized market. The company began with one truck, which he personally owned and operated. By year's end, Superior Transportation had expanded to a fleet of five trucks. Today Superior Transportation is operating with 26 trucks and has six more being delivered mid February 2012.
