In 1960, a family-owned company was born in Madison, SD, with a mission to provide quality small grain seed to area farmers. Throughout the past 50 years, we have witnessed the rise and fall of many friendly competitors in the seed business. Now, half a century later, Mustang Seeds is still family owned and continues to be a force in the seed industry. And we’re still proud to stand behind our products.
Though we got our start in small grains, over the years we have adapted our product line as farmers in our five-state region have moved strongly toward row crops. Now in our second generation of family ownership, we offer a full line of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, grasses, and small grains. In other words, all your seed needs.
We have over 200 dealers positioned throughout our trade territory of South Dakota, northwest Iowa, northeast Nebraska, western Minnesota, and southern North Dakota. The majority of our dealers grew up in their territories and know how best to meet your seed needs.
Mustang Seeds is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a unique bulk service—providing both delivery and pickup. It’s been said by many that we led the way in the bulk area and the rest of the marketplace followed. We’ve also added new seed treatment facilities, allowing us to implement the latest seed treatment technology.
