A family business with family values: USA Label Express was begun in 1971 by Brent Helwig in Cleveland, Ohio. While he and his wife, Win, shared a home with their six children, Brent setup shop in half of the two-car garage. Known at the time as In Store Supply Sales, he specialized in small labels, commodity keys, feather dusters and price markers. A short time later, Brent moved the family to Canton, Ohio and the business into his first building. He added label guns to his list of products, converted a delivery truck and sold labels door-to-door. Brent’s family grew by one and his business grew into manufacturing scale labels with his first Mark Andy Press. Three of his children purchased the company in 1995. They and several grandchildren still direct the vision for USA Label Express. Three generations and we continue to grow in a tough market.
