The Village at Sunburst welcomes anyone who needs assistance. Our open door policy offers help with with homelessness, housing applications, job information, public assistance and/or other community resources. The Village offers a safe, respectful environment where individuals can relax, socialize and participate in various activities such as support groups, educational activities, family events, peer support, case management and other services. Our staff is here to help you find and apply for community resources in times of need.
We are dedicated to the concept that a village is a place where people work together and relax together; where people combine their skills and talents to make the village as healthy and vibrant as possible. No one person can accomplish everything but as a village, with people working together, a lot can happen. This is the concept that guides The Village at Sunburst model and our approach to mental health. The individuals on our staff, the people who walk through the door and the communities where we have a presence are all part of The Village at Sunburst. It is a strength-based approach that integrates various individuals and opportunities to accomplish what is possible. It is an individual-centered approach that recognizes that each of us is unique. We are each a combination of many factors an can (and should) be recognized for who we are the potential we have.
