We are tracking care facility evacuations in the areas impacted by the North Bay fires. We are aware of at least 20 memory care facilities, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities that have relocated their residents to a safer place. Family members who may be looking for their loved ones can call our 24/7 Helpline at 1.800.272.3900 for more information.
Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by the wildfires in the North Bay. We know that many of our constituents have been evacuated, and several care facilities have closed. People with dementia who have been relocated are at increased risk for wandering, even if they are in the early stages of the disease. Be on the lookout for the warning signs.
