Our newly renovated facility is located two blocks from the Nassau County border in West Lawrence/Far Rockaway section of Queens, just one short block from the beach. Brookhaven Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is a 298 Medicare and Medicaid certified skilled nursing facility. (We provide both long and short-term care for middle aged and older adults who require assistance in a homelike setting.)
Accommodations
Our residents deluxe private and semi private rooms are spacious, cheerful, and have individual climate control. Many of our rooms have a breathtaking view of the ocean and beach. There is a lounge on every floor equipped with comfortable furniture and a color TV. Our main dining room is beautifully decorated and conducive to enhancing the dining and social experience for every resident. Residents are encouraged to bring their personal items so they can truly feel at home here. Residents are welcome to invite their friends and family to visit.
Recreational Activities
Equipped with large screen TV, and sound equipment, our entertainment center provides congenial venue for parties, movies, games, musical shows, discussion groups, and many more gatherings scheduled by the creative recreation department.
Our Staff
Our entire staff is committed to providing the highest professional level of quality care. Our Rehabilitation Team offers a variety of modalities aimed to reach each individual's achievement of his/her own maximum potential of independence. Educational training is an ongoing process to ensure that superior practice standards are maintained. Social Workers and Psychologists are available to offer support and counseling to residents for the purpose of enhancing residents emotional well-being. Our Dietary Staff provides fresh, delicious, and nutritional meals. Therapeutic diets are easily accommodated. Whatever the need, our staff known that caring, compassion, and sometimes a little laughter are often the best medicine.
