United Day Activity Center was incorporated in Duluth as one of the first organizations in the state to offer out-of-home activities for children and adults with disabilities.
We're here to help people with different abilities experience the everyday joys of life–including being a part of a community, feeling a sense of accomplishment and enjoying the freedom of choice.
The people we serve include those who have Down Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, physical challenges resulting from injury, and developmental disabilities ranging from moderate to severe.
We provide individuals with transportation services, employment, senior services, and opportunities for recreation and artistic expression. But what makes us unique is that we offer people the chance to be themselves.
No matter where they are in life, the people we serve are complex, multi-faceted individuals who, like the rest of us, want to be recognized for all that they are and all that they can do. We give them that recognition. We show them how to express themselves and uncover the simple joys of working and living. We give them options and opportunity. We help them realize their potential, and they take advantage of it, living every day the fullest.
