"Over the River and through the Woods" Our 2014 Dinner Theatre season opens with "Over the River and through the Woods" by Joe DiPietro, acclaimed playwright and lyricist behind "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change"! Nick is a 29-year-old Italian American man who works in the fast-paced world of marketing, but still makes time every Sunday to visit his two sets of aging, Italian grandparents for dinner. When Nick receives a promotion at work that would force him to move away from his grandparents, they will stop at nothing to try to keep him around. "Over the River and through the Woods" is an absolutely hilarious and heart-warming comedy about how the love of a family can spread across generations, and how we make sacrifices for those we love, no matter our age.
