Crittenton Services for Children and Families of Southern California is a member of the Crittenton family of agencies affiliated with The National Crittenton Foundation (TNCF). The Florence Crittenton Night Mission originally founded in 1883 in New York City spearheaded the "Crittenton Movement" that has been recognized by congressional charter during the presidencies of McKinley, Eisenhower, Reagan, and George W. Bush.
In 1892 the Florence Crittenton Home in Los Angeles opened its doors to women and children in need on the West Coast (but has since closed). However, during the 1960's the National Association of Florence Crittenton Agencies agreed to consult and help set up the current Orange County Florence Crittenton program and group home which was incorporated in 1966.
Today Crittenton Services for Children and Families of Southern California continues to function as a 24/7 short-term residential treatment center for teen girls and a community-based mental health services provider to children and their families in need of our assistance.
