Developmental Services Continuum, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, has been providing supports to people with developmental disabilities since 1982. In our thirty year history, we have supported hundreds of people with developmental disabilities. DSC has been successful in encouraging people to direct their own lives and become fully participating members of the community.

Residential:
Currently, DSC operates nine homes. The homes are located in areas of San Diego, CA and are licensed through the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. The services for the homes are contracted with the San Diego Regional Center at the Level IV category, the most intensive level of services for persons with developmental disabilities in a community setting. The people we support have severe behavioral challenges. The majority have lived in locked facilities in the past including state hospitals, jails, juvenile hall and psychiatric facilities. Developmental Services Continuum, Inc. provides a positive residential alternative and is able to provide for individual needs through intensive behavior intervention and creative programming utilizing highly skilled and trained staff.

Supported Living:
DSC provides opportunities for people to make choices which promote the best quality of life based on personal interests, choices and needs. DSC provides functional skills training, recreational resources, and additional supports based on individual desires and wishes to secure and maintain a positive living experience in the community.

Independent Living:
DSC's Independent Living Program provides supports with an emphasis on community base supports and services. This includes services such as information and referral sources, independent living skills training, peer support, system and individual advocacy.

Lynx – A Day Program Alternative:
DSC offers a day program service for people with developmental disabilities who have not been successful in attending existing day program services. Lynx services are provided on a one to one basis for a maximum of nine months for each individual. The goals of the Lynx program are to provide short-term assessment and support, foster greater levels of independence and reduce the need for paid support.

Link Center Day Program:
DSC offers specialized services for day program support to individuals who have not had success in other settings. Components include a positive behavior management program, mobility and route training, community integration training, volunteer opportunities and active job seeking/development specific to the individual’s interests.

Hireworks:
DSC offers diverse and exceptional training to meet the needs of staff who provide support to persons with developmental disabilities. CEU training is offered to direct care staff, nurses and administrators.
