Sonoton offers virtually every musical and compositional style for any production across the media world. Hundreds of established composers and producers from around the world contribute their talents to SONOTON, adding more than 60 new high-end CDs each year to its extensive catalog.
Sonoton’s music has been featured in countless Hollywood blockbuster films, TV shows, international advertising campaigns, video games and pop records. Recent credits include “The Hangover”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “Green Hornet”, “Hurt Locker” as well as TV hit series such as “Mad Men”, “Glee” and “Desperate Housewives” among many others. SONOTON’s music can also be heard in commercials for “Mercedes Benz” and “AT&T” and in some of the most successful video games like “TRON”, “X-Men Legends 2” and “Shrek 3”.
More than 35 international agents in over 40 territories now represent Sonoton. Agents include renowned APM in the United States and Canada, Beatbox Music in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, Imagem Production Music in the and Republic of Eire, Parigo Music in France, Aux Music Publishing in Sweden to name a few.
Sonoton was founded in 1965 in Munich, Germany by Heidi and Gerhard Narholz. Together with their son (film composer Gregor F. Narholz who resides in Los Angeles and Berlin) and a highly efficient and motivated team, the Narholz’ manage the company to this day. Above all it is their passion for music that ensures the ever evolving future of Sonoton.
