Within walking distance of the state's flagship university and the state capitol, First Presbyterian's congregation has had many and deep ties to government, education and community leadership over the years. The church is located on the northern edge of Lincoln's historic Near South neighborhood, and on the south edge of the city's downtown. The neighborhood is beautiful, vibrant, and also home to many of the city's neediest residents and newcomers. The church's location provides many immediate opportunities for mission and outreach to people in need. We look at this as God's way of expanding our vision of who we are as a congregation and what we are called to do.
