Spears Services, Inc.

Spears Services Inc., was started in August 1993 by Charles (Chick) A. Spears III, Chick has worked for the Trane Company and has over 20 years experience in designing, selling and installing heating, air conditioning units and Tracer control systems. Chick also has a background in computers and electronics from the Air Force. His first job was at Northeastern Rehabilitation Hospital where they had an existing CSI (now under the Schneider Electric) system. The original contractor went bankrupt and we were hired to straighten the control system out, at the expense of CSI.

The Company Has Three Divisions:

East Tennessee Freezers & Coolers

Specializing in repair, sales, service and retro-fitting of heating, air conditioning, ice makers, reach in and walk in coolers/freezers. This division also handles ultra low temp units with temperatures from
(-180*) and up. This division employs experienced service technicians who are EPA certified, professional and quality minded. We offer 24 hour emergency repair service.


Engineering & Controls

This division handles installation and servicing of Schneider Electric control systems and focuses on the school, commercial and industrial markets. The controls division assists clients that have control requirements of their HVAC & R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) as well as fulfilling customer’s needs regarding limited access entry systems. This division employs technicians who are professional and certified at the Master’s level in HVAC, electrical, and control systems. In addition, we also design and install pneumatic controls by various manufacturers. We are well rounded in dealing with interfacing various systems through LonWorks and BACnet.

Aire Serv of the TriCities
In June of 2012 we opened our residential division. We chose to work under the Aire Serv franchise because of the way they do business fits our business philosophy. Currently we conduct training class each morning for approximately 30 min. While many may say this is a waste of time as the technicians already know their work. We feel that with new equipment constantly coming out and the need to keep current it gives us an edge and provides our customers with the type of service we would expect.
