South Shore Therapies began as a concept when Stacey Szklut, MS, OTR/L recognized a great need for high quality, personalized occupational therapy services on the South Shore of Massachusetts and Cape Cod. The concept became a reality and South Shore Therapies opened its doors in April of 2004 specializing in sensory integration intervention. The clinic quickly grew and in September of 2005 we doubled our clinic space to over 5000 square feet. In meeting the needs of our clients and their families we continue to expand our available therapeutic modalities and specialists. We currently have therapists with specialty training in Sensory Integration, Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Oral Motor intervention, Listening Therapies, Visual-Vestibular Integration, Handwriting Without Tears and Brain Gym. In June 2006 we proudly added speech therapy to our services and expanded to assessing and treating articulation disorders/apraxia, auditory processing, executive function difficulties, social language concerns, stuttering, voice disorders, and augmentative-alternative communication training. Our therapists have been trained in the Lidcombe Fluency program, Social Thinking, integrated listening systems, and use of the Kaufman Apraxia program. In 2007 we opened our Pembroke facility to service Plymouth and the Cape. All of our therapists specialize in pediatric intervention.
