Sussex United Methodist Church

Our congregation includes people of all ages, from all walks of life. We are excited to be part of a United Methodist connection that provides help and hope to people all over the globe. For more information about the United Methodist Church, check out That connection is evident in our support worldwide United Methodist ministries such as the "No More Malaria" campaign, and in our support and work for "A Future With Hope," the statewide United Methodist relief effort for people affected by Superstorm Sandy. We also help raise funds for worldwide emergency aid, through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) ( ).

Right here in Sussex County we actively reach out to serve others through such ministries as assistance with the Sussex Help Center, the Skylands Outreach Depot, our Thanksgiving Basket and Christmas Gift Ministry, as well as our Shoebox Ministry (through which we gather gifts for college students members of the armed forces, and others living far from home).

Our church thoroughly enjoys singing, and we are led by a great chancel choir, under the leadership of choir director Sharon Craig.

Together, we have a lot of fun, whether serving a turkey dinner, organizing huge barn and clothing sales, or worshiping in our beautiful outdoor lakeside chapel.
