The Diocese of Texas was the first mission field of the Episcopal Church in the United States and is one of 110 domestic dioceses in the Episcopal Church, operating independently within the canons of the Church, representing the eastern portion of Texas, including, Houston, Galveston, Austin, Waco, Tyler and everything in between. The Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle is the ninth bishop of the Diocese of Texas.
