Athens Fire Department P.O. Box 207 39 Third Street Athens, NY 12015 Tuesday, May 10, 2016 Village Residents, The Athens Fire Dept. will be conducting training on Sunday Morning May 15th at 08:00 am, in the area of Crossroads Brewery. We are asking that Second St. from Montgomery to the Riverfront Park Entrance be clear of vehicles as well as the intersections of second and Franklin. We will have charged supply lines running up Second St. from the park and we will be discharging water on Second St. You can also expect a lot of fire apparatus in the area. Roads around Crossroads will be closed until approximately 11:00 am so please expect delays. For those who have to work that day I ask that you park in the community parking lot Located on N. Franklin St. or the Municipal Building parking lot located on 1st and Montgomery St. This type of Pre-incident planning allows “us” responders to anticipate the resources and procedures needed to meet specific demands within our jurisdiction. The complexity of today's fire protection systems, combined with changing building construction techniques, makes pre-incident planning imperative. There is just too much information for fire personnel to remember about the structures in our response areas. We would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank You for your continued support, Athens Vol. Fire Dept.
