Adoption isn't for everyone, but for some, it can be a loving option.

We believe that when you have information and support you will be in a much better position to make the decision that is right for you and for your baby. The choices are entirely you will never be judged or persuaded. If you do decide adoption is best for you, we'll be there to offer encouragement as well as personal and practical support. All our services are provided at no charge to you.

Open adoption is available to has changed!

At the Adoption Center of San Diego you choose the adopting parents for your child. You can choose a family that shares your faith and values and meets your ideals and shares your hobbies and interests. You have the opportunity to meet them, spend time together and build a relationship. You and the adopting couple will have the opportunity to discuss your goals and plans for future contact. You have the option to receive pictures, letters, calls or visits throughout the years.

Financial assistance can be provided by the adoptive parents for pregnancy related expenses.

ACSD was established in 1987 as a non-profit center providing complete adoption facilitation.

Sarah Jensen was named the Director of the Adoption Center of San Diego in 1993. She has worked in the adoption field since 1991 as an adoption facilitator and was trained as a Certified Open Adoption Practitioner by the National Federation for Open Adoption. The Adoption Center is registered as an Adoption Facilitator with the state of California.

Sarah is a public speaker and educator in Open Adoption. She is a member and past chair of the Adoption Coalition of San Diego.

The Adoption Center is engaged solely in adoption facilitation as defined by the State of California, Family Code: "Adoption facilitators may act as an intermediary between the parties in adoption."
