Bardstown City Schools is proud to announce that Margaret Smith, moderate and severe disabilities teacher at Bardstown Primary school, was nominated by her peers as our Central Kentucky Education Cooperative "Outstanding Educator of the Year"! As anyone that has met her knows, Margaret works tirelessly to provide an experience that is second to none for her students. In addition to planning meaningful daily lessons and activities for her students, Margaret has planned and organized our annual family holiday events, coordinated many school, and district, wide field trips for our students with disabilities, and serves as a leader within her building, and the district, in and out of areas related to special education. Margaret has a true servant's heart, and is able to collaboratively plan and execute programming that benefits both student and family. She is a master at her craft. She is irreplaceable and an asset to Bardstown City Schools. We are blessed to have her. -Lance

Great way to start the day at Bardstown City Schools! Students from the BHS Class of 2017 were greeted and congratulated by the students and teachers of the elementary and middle schools. Many of the younger students held signs congratulating the soon-to-be graduates and gave them handmade cards! Thank you, seniors, for being an inspiration to our younger students!

So great that our older students can take on leadership roles and be such great examples for our younger ones! Just one advantage of a close-knit campus!
This fabulous third grade orchestra visited classrooms at BECEC today to play for us and teach us about their instruments. Just four short years ago, most of these kids were our students! Today, the tables were turned, and they taught. We are so proud of these boys and girls and the leaders they are becoming!
