On June 6, 1953, brothers Larry and Jack Mitchell opened Mitchell's Ice Cream at San Jose Avenue and 29th Street in San Francisco. Larry and Jack were no strangers to the dairy business, as the family owned and operated a small dairy farm in San Francisco in the late 1800's. Mitchell's is still owned and operated by the Mitchell family today. For a sweet and delicious treat, stop by our store and try our authentic homemade ice cream. We've got something for everyone!
