Fort McClellan Credit Union

Fort McClellan Credit Union is a nonprofit financial cooperative chartered in 1953 in Anniston, AL. While initially organized to serve military and civilian personnel stationed at Fort McClellan, FMCU has expanded its membership to anyone that lives, works or attends school in Calhoun, Cleburne, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Cherokee, Etowah, St Clair and Chambers Counties.

Other membership qualifications are:
City, County, State and Federal employees living or working in St. Clair and Etowah Counties.
All National Guard and US Army Reserve Personnel within the trade area of Fort McClellan Credit Union.
Any relative of members, regardless of residence or place of employment.

To join Fort McClellan Credit Union, begin by opening a share savings account with a $25 deposit, plus a $1 (one-time) membership share saving account establishes you as a member of the credit union and once you are a member, you can maintain your membership no matter where you live or work in the future.

FMCU members receive financial security. The National Credit Union Administration insures all Fort McClellan Credit Union member deposits up to at least $250,000, with IRA accounts are insured separately up to $250,000. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) insurance is backed by the full faith and credit of the Government, just like FDIC.
