The George Fox Auxiliary invites the university community to a lunch featuring a special presentation by Lon Fendall, an associate professor emeritus of history and political science, this Friday, Jan. 12, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Canyon Commons dining hall. Fendall will discuss Mark Hatfield and his work in politics - Fendall formerly worked as an assistant to Hatfield, a two-term Oregon governor and a U.S. senator for 30 years who, after retiring from politics, taught classes at George Fox from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s. The presentation is related to the auxiliary’s theme this year: “George Fox Alumni Serving in the World.” The cost to attend is $10 per person, and payment may be made at the door. Reservations are preferred and can by arranged by calling Judy Woolsey at 971-832-1505.
