The Museum offers two floors of exhibits. The first floor traces the history of the city from the founding of the first fort in 1817 through the growth of the town into a manufacuting cinter. Temporary exhibits are presented in the Boyd Gallery. The William O. Darby Memorial Room honors the Fort Smith native and founder of Darby's Rangers in WWII. Visit the old fashioned working soda fountain for sundaes, floats and ice cream sodas. A gift shop features locally produced pottery, baskets and paintings.
