In 1970, Bernard N. Holst Jr. founded Horizon in his hometown of Midland Park, New Jersey and in doing so, laid the foundation for service excellence with one simple concept, “Let our family take care of your family.” Forty-one years later, this straightforward approach continues to truly set Horizon apart from its competition: “We treat every home and every business as if it were our own.” Exceeding client expectations is our number one priority.

In 2006-2007 Horizon’s founder was elected president of the National Pest Control Association (NPMA). Prior to his presidency of NPMA, in 1996, the New Jersey Pest Management Association honored Holst as the Pest Control Operator of the year.
