Our offices are located in Columbus, OH and Pittsburgh, PA. We’re proud that, despite the trends and transitions that continually influence architecture, a simple set of core values has helped bring us to where we are today. Sustainable Architecture. We’re proud to have raised awareness of being stewards of the built environment. DesignGroup's legacy of sustainable design — which prioritizes the conservation of energy and natural resources — dates back to the firm's beginning. We’ve been recognized with many AIA sustainability awards, as well as public and private recognition for green design and energy efficiency. All of our designers are LEED Accredited Professionals. Sustainable architecture is at the center of DesignGroup's work.

Healthy Communities. Design plays a strong role in enhancing the user experience and supporting better outcomes. Return on investment and high-performance design drives DesignGroup's planning and design approach. Modern, sunlit, carefully considered spaces benefit patients, guests, and employees in these buildings alike.

Civic Responsibility. Our role in civic responsibility extends far beyond client work. We volunteer untold hours (and sweat equity) to professional, civic, and human services organizations. Our associates are deeply involved in community organizations such as the Discovery District, Greater Columbus Arts Council, and others that advocate for beautiful, sustainable neighborhood growth and preservation.

Lifelong Learning. Curiosity and professional growth are simply a way of life here. Through our unique DesignGroup University (DGU), our firm is committed to the continuing education of both staff and clients. Our annual design trips take us to new places where we can examine, contemplate, discuss, and grow. This commitment to life-long learning extends into the communities where our projects have touched the lives of children, teens, and adults.
