Many of our clients are familiar with our landscape services, but fewer may realize that we’ve also become the area’s largest installer of hardscapes. Hardscapes can be defined as the walks, patios and retaining walls found around your home or office.
We now have seven staff members who have been named Certified Hardscape Installers by the Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute (ICPI), and we recently won an award from Oberfields Inc., a local hardscape products manufacturer.
Hardscape projects are handled in much the same way as landscape projects, and are very often done at the same time. The first step is generally a meeting with one of our designers, who are very experienced at blending our clients’ wants and needs into a creative design solution.
Once the layout has been determined, material selection follows. There are many options for walk and patio materials, but by far the most popular have been pavers. Pavers are extremely durable, and they’re available in many different styles and colors. In fact, the selection of pavers on the market has grown exponentially from what was available just a few years ago. Many new materials are also available for use in retaining wall and knee wall projects.
