The owners of the Centerboard Inn have taken on another spectacular island inn. Working with the island craftsmen who helped turn their first inn into an oasis of luxury, they have taken the bones of the Federal-style building just across Centre Street from the Centerboard Inn and reconstructed the interior; giving each of the guest rooms an enlarged, en-suite bath with fresh subway tiled showers with glass doors, rainfall showerheads and custom cabinetry and fixtures. Each bedroom features sumptuous new pillowtop mattresses covered with fluffy duvets and fine linens (including plush bathrobes) from Frette & Matouk; hand-selected furnishings and fixtures from Restoration Hardware, Serena & Lilly and others; in-room refrigerators; and, perhaps most importantly, soundproofing between guestroom walls.
