Smith Pump is a family owned and operated business with our roots in Wilmington Mass. Pump Co. was started in 1936. In 1964 they incorporated and became Wilmington Pump Supply and still are today and operate out of the same location. Smith Pump Co. became the division in the mid 70’s, and incorporated in 1985. We still operate from the same location under the same name.


We are experienced in water system installations and repairs of all types. Our scope of operation encompasses everything from new domestic well installs to complete pump station builds. We are also heavily invested in the geothermal heat pump market for the past 30 years.


We run 3 fully stocked service trucks, and are available 24/7 for emergency work. In house we keep tens of thousands of feet of pipe and wire of all various sizes. New pumps in stock range from ½ hp up to hp. New pumps on the shelf usually number 100-150, and test/used (up to 40 hp) in the dozens.


Our technicians attend continuing education classes as practical and we have three licensed pump installers (lic. # 179) and we hold drilling license # 180.


Smith Pump has over 20,000 domestic installations in southern and central New Hampshire. We are members of the Better Business Bureau, the New Hampshire Water Well Association, the Association of Home builders, the New England Water Works Association and the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association.


We are very familiar with the drilling conditions in New Hampshire and New England whether for domestic use, irrigation needs, industrial needs, municipal needs or heat pumps applications.
