Just checking in to say hello to all of our facebook fans "HELLO". We hope your fall season has been wonderful so far. We've been enjoying a much needed break after our crazy busy summer season. If you didn't know, the restaurant and lobby are currently closed for the season. We do have rooms available for rent if you happen to be in the area, but be aware that we are not fully staffed so you won't get the full lodge experience that you'd get in the summer. We have rooms available and there are still some great restaurants open close by. Should you find yourself in need of a room please call us 1-208-558-9555 or book a room online through expedia or booking.com. As always, we look forward to your stay.

Beautiful wedding here at the lodge today. What a great group of people. Congratulations to our beautiful bride and her loving groom ❤

The view from the deck of the lodge just keeps getting better and better.

Hello Mr. Monte Cristo

Angler's Lodge & Riverfront Restaurant shared U.S. Forest Service - Caribou-Targhee National Forest's post.
Just something to be aware of when you are here as our guests. We do get bears so be alert. This year seems to be a rise in sighting here in the area.
ATTENTION... CHARGING GRIZZLY BEAR NEAR ISLAND PARK A hiker on the Lake Marie Trail south of Sawtell Peak near Island Park Idaho was charged twice by a grizzly bear. The hiker deployed bear spray and was able to safely get away from the bear. Hikers are warned to use caution if you go on this trail or avoid the trail for the next week or so to prevent another encounter with this bear. The bear could be defending cubs, or its food. Bow hunters are advised to remove your carcass immediately, or if you have to leave your carcass move the gut pile away from the carcass so as not to attract bears. If you have to leave your carcass make sure you know where it is and you approach it with the assumption there is a bear on the carcass. You do not want to surprise a bear on your kill. As a courtesy to others in the area of your kill, put your gut pile at least ¼ mile away from a trail so a bear is not close to trails or other areas used by recreationalists. Photo by Charles R. Peterson, taken last year of Shoni, a captive bear. This photo was attached to help draw attention to the post.
