Advanced Optical Systems (AOS) has spent the last 25 years developing advanced systems for the United States Department of Defense and NASA. We continue to support this mission through our work on autonomous helicopter accessories and automated rendezvous and docking systems for the most advanced spacecraft in the world. Our most recent product technology developments have been in the field of biometrics. By applying our decades of experience with advanced imaging systems, we have approached the challenges facing the biometrics market with fresh eyes. The result has been the development of revolutionary new products that promise to change the way people think about identity and security.

Our automated, non-contact fingerprint devices require no subject contact with an operator or device. In fact most of our fingerprint sensors collect fingerprints from over a meter away. No highly skilled personnel are required to operate or manage the devices, and the quality of the fingerprints we generate does not depend on the skill of an operator. Because no operator is required, we call our product line ANDI (Automated Non-contact Distance Identity).

The revolutionary ANDI OTG (On-The-Go) takes things a step further by collecting fingerprints from individuals as they pass a device with their hand extended. No stopping is required, and the system has been demonstrated accommodating over 50 people per minute!
