In 2002, Donald W. Callender (founder of Marie Callender’s Restaurant and Bakery) created Babe’s Bar-B-Que and Brewhouse in Rancho Mirage, CA. Serving freshly prepared smoked meats with that all-American BBQ flavor and award-winning microbrews, Babe’s is the desert’s choice for BBQ and brews. Following the death of Callender in 2009, his son, Lucky, is continuing his father’s labor of love. Staying true to the heart of Babe’s which is quality American BBQ and unique microbrews, the restaurant is venturing into an exciting era under “new” leadership.
